WEATHERLife on earth.Earth is not like any other planets.It is only planet to have life.It is only one with oceans filled with water.We know the life needs water.The oceans make Earth look blue from the space.Earth travels around the sun every 365 and ¼ days.That is one Earth year and it gets light from it.Mars is a cold,windy planet.It has the largest mountains we know of.It has a big volkano that is more than three times taller than Earth’s tallest mountain.Mars has a rusty colour.This is why it is called Red Planet.Venus is the second planet from the Sun.It is the hottest planet and brightest planet.It has thick clouds hold the sun’s heat.Venus spins much slower than Earth.

soilThe sun is a star and with other planets makes the solar system.The inner planets are close to the sun and are all balls of rock.Next to the other planets,they are very small.Our own Earth is one of these small planets.The planets go around the sun.They also spin as they go.This is why we have day and night.Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun.It is the smallest of the planets.It has lots of craters.These are shallow holes.The planet can get very hot.Lead melts there.Jupiter is the largest planet.It is one of four gas giants.They are planets made of gas.It has three rings.It is outer planet.Pluto was found in 1930.It is far from the Sun.Pluto is tiny.Pluto is called a dwarf planet.

Saturn is a very pretty planet.It has many rings. These rings are made of ice and rock.Saturn is the second largest of the other planets.It has also made of gas.

Uranus was found with telescope.It was the first planet found this way.It looks like a blue green disk.It lies on its side.

Neptune was found in 1846.Neptun is deep blue in colour.It was named after the Roman god of the sea.It has six rings.The weather on Neptune is fierce.
