How to Read a Genetic Report?

Letters, numbers and colors.Genes code for enzymes.

Genes have 2 strands and 2 possible SNPs.Heterozygous = 1 SNP (yellow)

Homozygous = 2 SNPs (red)

We all have some SNPs!


What Are SNPs?

Genetic variations.Potential traffic jams.


What are Cofactors?

Nutrient(s) required for enzyme to function.

“Folic acid” and “folate” are often used interchangeably, but they are different.

Folate is found in nature.Folic acid is synthetic.

What is Methylation? “B Vitamin Cycle”

Then SAM recycles back around to Homocysteine.
