A Note From Mr. Hughes
Please make sure that you participate in the 2020 Census. An accu-
rate count is vital to ensure that Indiana schools receive their fair share of
federal funds to support numerous programs including: Title One, special
education, before and after school programs and school nutrition over the
next ten years. Census forms will be mailed out in mid- to late- March. This
year, for the first time, Census forms can also be completed on-line. The
Census is safe, secure, and confidential. Our children are counting on you!
Spring Picture Day is on Wednesday, March 4th. A flier with ordering
information will be sent home with students. Additional information is avail-
able on mylifetouch.com.
School attendance is very important. However, if your child is sick we
want them to stay home and get well. Please notify the school when your
student is out. Our attendance hotline number is (812) 542-7302 or you can
contact the school office (812) 542-5507.

Build The Habit of Good Attendance
What You Can Do
Make School Attendance a priority
Talk about the importance of showing up to school everyday, make that an expectation.
Help your child maintain daily routines, such as finishing homework and getting a good night’s sleep.
Try not to schedule dental and medical appointments during the school day.
Don’t let your child stay home unless truly sick. Complaints of headaches and stomach aches may be signs of anxiety.
If you have a child that will be 5years old by
August 1,2020 he/she is eligible to attend
kindergarten during the 2020-2021 school year.
We would like to ask that all families pre– register
incoming kindergarten students at your school’s
kindergarten Roundup Open House or between
the hours of 8:30am an 1:30 pm during the week
of March 9-13. You will need to bring the child's
birth certificate and immunization
records.

Dear Parent,
Great news! Our school has partnered with Indi-ana Dental Outreach…the mobile dentists to of-fer in-school dental care. CLICK HERE to sign up your child today.
Even better, dental care is usually no cost to you. All insurance is accepted including Medi-caid and Hoosier Health Wise. A low cost self-pay option is available for those without insurance.
Our in-school dental program saves you time and provides a safe and comfortable place for your child to receive gentle dental care from li-censed local professionals. Dental care includes a complete dental exam, x-rays, cleaning, fluo-ride and sealants when necessary, and in some cases, restorative care such as fillings.
