Experienced Researcher• At the date of the call deadline, the researcher must be in possession of
a doctoral degree or have at least four years of full-time equivalent research experience
• The researcher may be of any nationality. • No age restrictions apply
General Mobility Rule
• At the call deadline cannot have resided or carried out his/her main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of the beneficiary for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately before the call deadline.

• Cannot have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of the TC partner organisationwhere the outgoing phase takes place for more than 12 months in the three years immediately before the call deadline
• The beneficiary must be located in an MS or AC

Key MSCA Definitions
Long-term residence
• A period of legal and continuous residence within EU Member States or Horizon 2020 Associated Countries of at least 5 consecutive years. Periods of absence from the territory of the Member State or Horizon 2020 Associated Country shall be taken into account for the calculation of this period where they are shorter than 6 consecutive months and do not exceed in total ten months within this period of five years.

Proposed Budget
• A country correction coefficient (CCC) applies to living allowance (MSCA Work Programme) currently 139.8% for the UK
• For Global Fellowships there will be two different country correction coefficients
• Living Allowance is the GROSS amount
• Mobility and Family Allowance (were applicable) can also be subjected to taxation
• Eligibility to receive family allowance is determined at the call deadline

• The Withdrawal Agreement, as agreed between the European Union and the United Kingdom, entered into force on 1 February 2020
• The WA means that the UK can continue to participate in EU programmes, including Horizon 2020, that are financed by the 2014-2020 Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) until their closure (i.e. for the lifetime of grants)
• UK participants will continue to receive EU grant funding for the lifetime of individual Horizon 2020 projects, including projects awarded and finishing after the transition period ends at the end of 2020

UK institutions are eligible as a Host organisation for the European Fellowships
We have historically been very successful in hosting MSCA Individual Fellowships, so would encourage researchers to apply with a UK host.
Projects with a UK host organisation will not be evaluated differently by the European Commission.
