• A track is a more specific route to MSc degree, allowing further specialization.

• Picking a track does not determine your career; it helps you specialize.

Why a Social Psychology MSc?

Generally, if you pursue a MSc in Social Psychology (any track) you gain:

• Knowledge of how to conduct (applied) psychological research.

This allows you to understand, control, solve, and prevent social issues, and to monitor progress.

• Your research skills allow you to work in research, communication, policy, consulting, human development and organization development, ...

• In private, governmental or semi-governmental sectors.

In the Social Psychology track ...

You specialize in understanding social relations. You learn classic and modern social psychological theories. You learn how emotions and affect influence cognition.

Predisposes you to working in explaining general social psychological behavior. Focus on policy making.

More specialized to economic behavior.Unique to Tilburg as a SP track.

Career Perspectives in General

• Remember: all tracks train you to become a social psychologist. It is unlikely that you cannot become an X because you selected the wrong track.

• Tracks help you to become more specialized in social, economic, or organizational behavior. This can be a big plus when applying.
