Represents a true technological achievement allowing complete interoperability of critical personal protection equipment
Developed for military and special operations personnel confronted with CBRN environments
Three separate NIOSH approvals: • CBRN APR Gas Mask • CBRN PAPR • CBRN SCBA

Unique Features
Key difference between the standard FireHawk® M7 and Responder ® PAPR Air Mask: • This unique product allows users to seamlessly
switch between: √ A positive pressure device (i.e. SCBA),
Connection achieved through the FireHawk M7 Regulator
√ Negative pressure exhalation device (i.e. Air-Purifying Respirator Gas Mask) Removable port in the facepiece lens
permits connection to the gas mask breathing tube, or
√ A Powered Air-Purifying Respirator PAPR directly connected to the PAPR
breathing tube

Unique Features
Interoperability is achieved through an innovative pneumatically-operated exhalation valve
• The valve quickly detects either vacuum or pressure in the immediate pressure line system actuating or retracting the exhalation valve spring for automatic conversion
• Since these additional options permit the end user to wear the mask for an extended period of time, a drinking tube was added for connection to an external hydration system maintaining complete respiratory protection

Unique Features
Additional Benefits: • Equipped with a ClearCommand® Radio
Interface system permitting constant contact with incidence command
• Easily change respirator modes from first response and rescue to scene management and remediation activities ◘ Firefighters typically are the first to respond
to any incident whether it is a residential fire, an accident, or any unknown threat
• One-way inhalation check valve to prevent cross-contamination

FireHawk M7 Responder Air Mask
Provides the maximum level of protection for CBRN environments, however: • This particular amount of
protection is not always needed, especially outside of the immediate fire scene
• Once the hazard has been assessed, air-purifying respirators (APR) may make the most sense for low concentrations of certain contaminants

Converting from SCBA to APR
Proper canister and breathing tube are attached to a port on the facepiece
When the SCBA cylinder valve is closed, inhaled air is drawn through the canister, removing, neutralizing and/or trapping specific contaminates – exhaled air leaves through the exhalation valve
The harness and cylinder may be removed from the user reducing unnecessary weight but the MMR regulator must remain connected to the inlet adapter, sealing the facepiece inlet port

FireHawk M7 Responder CBRN PAPR Ideal for non-IDLH respiratory protection for an
extended period of time Provides an OSHA-assigned protection factor 20
times greater than APR, • The PAPR motor-blower creates positive pressure in
the Responder facepiece for up to 8 hours of air-purifying respiratory protection
Available with 2 batteries that have ability to be “hot-swapped” during use: • Lithium-Sulfur Dioxide: 8 hour run-time • Nickel Metal Hydride: 4 hour run-time (rechargeable)
EMI shielded to MIL-Std-461C • Motor / Blower will not interfere with radio
communications as it is

Constant filtered airflow (of at least 115 lpm) improves comfort with a cooling effect, greatly reducing pulmonary stress, and preserving strength and mental awareness.
The airflow also prevents fogging in the facepiece, reduces claustrophobia, and allows for extended use in hot and stressful environments.
