Military Ave. Green Bay, WI 54307 Re: WET Test (9-16 October, 1997) Results - Lemberger Landfill Site Dear Jennifer: Enclosed find the report, and copies of laboratory bench sheets, for the second of the two required chronic toxicity retest batteries conducted on treated effluent (groundwater) from the Lemberger Landfill Site. Reporting format is the same as that used previously. The fathead minnow test results were officially inconclusive due to poor survival in the Branch River control, but toxicity negative when compared to the secondary control (laboratory water). In contrast to the original and first retest batteries, results for this battery were chronic toxicity negative for Ceriodaphnia. Please call if you have any questions or comments. Enclosed find the report, and copies of laboratory bench sheets, for the second of the tworequired chronic toxicity retest batteries conducted on treated effluent (groundwater) from theLemberger Landfill Site. Reporting format is the same as that used previously.

I need some help with determining appropriate SQCs for an ecological risk assessment. As you know,SQCs are calculated according to the following equation:

SQC = foc*Koc*FCV

where: foe = mass fraction of organic carbon for sedimentKoc = organic carbon partition coefficientFCV = final chronic value, from chronic ambient water quality criteria

Sediment values are normalized to 1 % organic carbon. My question is -- can I recalculate a new SQC if myTOC values are greater than 1 %? If so, can I substitute the TOC percentage directly into the equation forfoe or do I have to is-4here some type of manipulation before I can use it. What do you think?
