At the same time, the 6520's fast dataacquisition system provides an in-spectrumdynamic range of up to five orders of magnitude. This facilitates the detectionand identification of low-level compoundsin the presence of much more abundantcompounds. The 6520 has a broad m/z 25–20,000 TOFmass range that allows it to comfortablydetect both low-molecular-weight com-pounds or fragments, and intact proteins.Orbital trapping instruments have limitationsat both ends of the mass range.
