• Red folder Goes home and returned to

school dailyNotes and homework

Birthday Treats

Yes, We love them but please remember we

have 2 nut allergies. These students are allowed to have chocolate but without nuts in them. If your child has an allergy that impacts class treats and you haven’t spoken to me, PLEASE let me know.

Please have any treats already sliced or individual portions.

Probably served during Lunch

Balance Ball/Yoga Ball

• Reason Researchers found that the ability to move

around more while sitting made the students more attentive

When a child sits on a ball chair, they are able to direct their natural kinesthetic energy (core).

• Walmart has the 55 cm (green) for about $10. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Gold-s-Gym-55-cm-Anti-burst-Body-Ball/39082932

• MUST bring the ball in completely inflated along with a plastic Frisbee (ball stand). This means you will have to bring them in the AM in your car.

Reading

• Homework: Read 30 minutes (M-Th)• The Reading Bag will be brought to and from

school daily. Reading Log folder, Reading Notebook, Sticky

Notes, and a few books.• Reading Log Folder:

The log can be a valuable tool to help students develop good reading habits as well as set goals to improve their reading. Your child should record the information required in the log each evening and remember to return the log to school. We will be using it in class during our Reading Workshop every day! We are trying to grow life long readers!

Standards Based Report Card
