Energy Pyramid •Students will identify factors that affect the survival or extinction of organisms such as adaptation, variation of behaviors (hibernation), and external features (camouflage and protection). Social Studies Unit 2: SS4H1 -The student will describe how early Native American cultures developed in North America. •SS4H1.a Locate where Native Americans settled with emphasis on the Arctic (Inuit), Northwest (Kwakiutl), Plateau (Nez Perce), Southwest (Hopi), Plains (Pawnee), and Southeast (Seminole). •SS4H1.b Describe how Native Americans used their environment to obtain food, clothing, and shelter.
