After buying a small basket of buttons, Ruth Jimenez of Texas found a 1984 CHSPC class ring engraved with the initials AGF. She contacted the school through our website, and learned the ring belongs to Angelo G. Fabre of New Roads. That very day was also Mr. Fabre’s birthday!!! What a great present from a total stranger!

Proceeds from our Annual Fund were used to purchase a new intercom system for the entire school. The new system replaces the old one that dated back to 1959! Blast from the past!

Summer 2009

Morel’s Restaurant

Opened in 1983, the restaurant owned by Buddy (‘58) and Georgia Morel and managed by their son Major (‘93), was just a cabin Buddy’s mother rented to fisherman visiting False River. Major joined his parents in the restaurant business in 1998 and has become an integral part of its management. He’s also the resi-dent expert on what customers or-der. Morel’s is opened seven days a week , serving lunch and dinner every day except Sunday and Mon-day. The family also owns and oper-ates Morel Courts and Georgia Mo-rel Antiques.

Storage Solutions

Storage Solutions is a closet design business. Lucille Hebert (‘65) McCaskill and her architect son-in-law/partner, Creighton, work to-gether to design and install closets, pantries, laundry rooms and more. It’s a great way to organize your home and/or shop. Lu and her hus-band, Larry, are also distributors of Mona Vie. This juice fights inflam-mation in the body and helps to pro-vide the nutrients and antioxidants needed by each of us.

False River Realty

Matt Bondy (‘77) is a real estate broker and has been associated with False River Realty since 1982. Mary Dale Melancon Bondy (‘83) joined FRR as a realtor in 2001 after teach-ing at CESPC for 11 years. Both Matt and Mary Dale are graduates of LSU and specialize in selling Pointe Cou-pee Parish properties. Whether it’s a lake house on False River, residen-tial lots and homes, acreage tracts or commercial properties, they are experienced, knowledgeable and ready to help. You can find out more about False River Realty at www.falseriverrealty.com.
