  • What did I miss?•It is YOUR responsibility to get the work (via

web page or posted in the back of the

    classroom).

•After an absence, you have one school day for

each day missed to make up work.

•If swept the day an assignment is due, it is still

due that day. It is also your responsibility to get

any assigned material on the same day of the

sweep and have it prepared on the due date.

  • Extra Help

In addition to the Academic Prep times built into our schedule each week,

I am available before and after school.

The dates and times I am available will be posted on the side board each week.

•The main “law” in my classroom is that we treat each other with RESPECT.•Backpacks/purses/etc. are not permitted on desks; cell phones must be put

away during class unless instructed to use it for an instructional activity or using it as a hall pass. NOTES:

-you MAY have your phone out during roll and usually the last few minutes of class. -if you are not using your phone as a hall pass, you must sign out (see sheet on back table).•Bring materials to class each day, and be ready to participate!

  • • Daily objectives, activities, and assignments are listed on the side board each day (therefore…”What are we doing today Mrs. Bondi?” = a silly question).

    • No extra credit or late work is accepted, and you may not retake any tests or quizzes. Also, work is due at the beginning of your class period unless otherwise noted (e.g. turnitin.com assignments by 7:30 AM).

    • 101 Turnitin Policy – loss of 20% per school day until paper is properly submitted.

    • Pay close attention to due dates (posted on web page and under “Assignments” in classroom – side board)! Also, register with Remind!

    • If you missed a test/quiz, you MUST reschedule a day/time with Mrs. Bondi upon returning to class! No appointment = no makeup.

  • (the answer should be YES!)

    And now…

    a little about your teacher…

  • Mrs. Lynne Bondi

I am one of the founders of M.R.H.S.

I graduated from ASU, received my master’s degree from NAU, and was a Student Teacher Supervisor for U of A!

I love teaching, running, reading, traveling, and spending time with my family.

I also love music, usually 80’s , so you will hear music everyday as you enter my

    classroom.

  • Now, your homework. . .

  • We all have objects that are special to us. Some of

these objects have been in our family a long time,

while others are new. Some of these objects

become symbols of our identity. Often objects that

are special to us link us to events, people, and

traditions in our lives. Folklorists sometimes call

these objects Cultural Markers. By telling their

stories, we tell stories about who we are.

For homework you will need to bring in a symbolic object that represents who you

are! This object cannot be inappropriate, illegal, bloody, or a living animal.

It must be clever and represent who you truly are! Don’t be the bring in your car key

and declare “this is the key to my future.”

Think a bit more deeply than that!

  • Wait – there is one

    more thing!Email me: [email protected]

In the subject line put your first and last

    name and period number!

In the body of the message you will put

    your six word memoir . . .

  • It is now time to write your own six-word

memoir! Be creative and thoughtful – you can

only use six words – so make them count!

This is your first assignment for points!

    So, make it spectacular!

Correct Info in Subject Line 5 points

    Six Word Memoir 15points

If something is being submitted online,

what time is it actually due?

    7:30 AM!

  • So, for homework . . . 1. Show and Tell

    2. Email me your six word memoir! In

subject line put your full name and

    period

(And this power point is on our main

ENG 101 web page & in Canvas)
