Infosys Mobility Solution for MRO Use of handheld devices to support various processes in aero industry is becoming more popular, driven by focus on increasing productivity and reducing costs through automation. Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) is a key area for mobile device usage in order to reduce non-productive and non-value added efforts, thereby significantly improving upon the job comfort, efficiency and productivity. At the moment most of the MRO processes are enabled on desktops, laptops and vehicle mount devices. Very few MRO processes are enabled on wireless handheld devices. Time and cost benefits can be realized through better coordination, communication, on-time and proactive actions, client satisfaction and overall improved utilization of staff, assets and working capital.
