We alsobelieve that the highest potential of youth sports is achievedwhen coaches, parents, and students actively demonstratesportsmanship and character. These values and beliefs willpromote the best possible athletics experience. Our goal asparents, coaches and students is to strive for Victory withHonor. LTS Program GoalsTo demonstrate Victory with Honor to opponents, referees, fans, teammates, and self. For each team/group to perform to the best of its abilities. The goal is to win every competition while demonstrating good sportsmanship. To learn what it means to be part of a team, to be committed to the team, and to support the team in every way. Every LTS student will be invited and encouraged to take part. To teach skills (Physical and Mental) which cannot be taught in the classroom. Participants will learn to play or perform the right way, with emphasis on fundamentals. To give the students a taste of the history of the activity in which they are taking part, and for each coach to pass on his/her love of each activity. Sports Fees Every participant must provide the program with a fee for each activity in which he/she participates. LTS A/B Team PhilosophyIf there is enough student interest, LTS will have two teams for eachsport using an A/B team philosophy. Students will tryout for the ATeam, and there will be a certain number of students that make theteam. This team will play to win and not all students will playin every game. Those who do not wish to tryout, and those whodo not make the A Team, will be on the B Team. The B Team willallow all students to participate in the games, as long as they areacademically eligible and regularly participating with the team. The B Teamwill allow all participants to play but playing time may not be equal. Ifthere are not enough students to field two teams, the team willfollow the no tryouts and no cuts philosophy. All teams, weather Aor B, will follow the A Team philosophy (play to win) during the postseason playoffs.
