ProgramThe Microsoft Dynamics CRM Internal Use Rights (IUR) benefits for partners are changing. Partners are encouraged to

review the important program change information provided in this document in order to understand:

The Microsoft Dynamics CRM internal use rights benefit program changes were notified to partners in the October

2013MPN Partner Disclosure Guideand through theAnnouncement on PartnerSource(credentials required) that was

published 4thNovember 2013.

Microsoft Dynamics CRM Internal Use Rights New Program Benefit Entitlement

The diagram below outlines the new Microsoft Dynamics CRM internal use rights benefits for partners. Please note

that the internal use rights benefit entitlements below are per qualifying MPN competency location. All Microsoft

Dynamics CRM internal use rights benefit entitlements are subject to theMPN country and worldwide caps.

Individual seats and licenses can be interchanged for flexibility, i.e. there can be a mix of Microsoft Dynamics CRM

Online and On-Premises seats provided the aggregate total does not exceed the Microsoft Dynamics CRM internal

use rights entitlement. For example, a partner with a MPN Core Gold competency, the base internal use rights benefit

is 60 Dynamics CRM Online or On-Premises seats. This means that a partner could choose to have 30 Microsoft

Dynamics CRM Online seats and 30 Microsoft Dynamics CRM on-premises internal use rights licenses.

Microsoft Action Pack Subscription partners are required to be Certified Software Advisor qualified. In addition

Microsoft Action Pack Subscription partners must have sold 5 seats of Dynamics CRM Online or have sold 50+

Microsoft Office 365 seats within 12 months.

Additional License Availability

Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 On-Premises

For partners using Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 or 2013 on-premises internal use rights, and who want more

product licenses than the standard amount permitted by their MPN program, there are two options:

1.

Take advantage of the discounted license offer ($45 Professional license) available for Microsoft Dynamics

CRM Online. Microsofts strategy is to lead with Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online in response to customer

demand trends. We therefore want to encourage our strategic partners that enjoy the IUR MPN benefit

today, to start using Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online internally. To request a Dynamics CRM Online

discounted seat offer,please make a request to Microsoft Operations.

2.

Purchase additional seats of Microsoft Dynamics CRM on premises through the appropriate channel (e.g.

Volume Licensing).

Partners who have Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Internal Use Rights licenses are reminded of the requirement to

upgrade their Internal Use Rights licenses to Dynamics CRM 2013 in line with the MPN Internal Use Rights licensing

terms and conditions which requires product upgrades within one year of a new product release in your country.

Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online

Partners who quality for the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online partner Internal Use Rights benefit are entitled to

purchase additional Dynamics CRM Online Professional seats at a discounted price of $45 per seat. Up to one

hundred $45 discounted seats can be purchased. This is a 100 seat worldwide maximum per partner organisation. If

you wish to purchase $45 Dynamics CRM Online seats pleasesubmit a requestto Microsoft Operations. Once you

have made a $45 seat purchase, provided you have not exceeded your 100 seat maximum entitlement you canpurchase more $45 seats directly through the Office365 admin portal.

The purchase of $45 Dynamics CRM Online Professional seats will also enable you to purchase the Dynamics CRM

Online add-ons, production and non-production instances and additional storage directly through the O365 admin

portal. There is no need to submit a further request to Operations.

If you are enabling your Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online partner Internal Use Rights benefits on or after

24th February 2014, the benefit entitlement outlined in thebenefit entitlement sectionof this document

applies now.

If you are currently on the 100 or 250 seat Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online Internal Use Rights benefit offer,

the compliance date for the new Dynamics CRM Online Internal Use Rights benefit entitlement is 31st May

2014.

Dynamics CRM 2011 and 2013 on premises

If you are enabling your Microsoft Dynamics CRM on premises partner Internal Use Rights benefits on or

after 24th February 2014, the benefit entitlement outlined in thebenefit entitlement sectionof this

document applies now.

If you are currently on the 100 user license Microsoft Dynamics CRM on premises Internal Use Rights benefit

offer, the compliance date for the new Dynamics CRM on premises Internal Use Rights benefit entitlement is

31st October 2014.

Partners on the 100 or 250 seat Dynamics CRM Online Internal Use Rights benefit

subscription offer IUR Benefit Program Transition Notes

All Dynamics CRM Online 100 and 250 seat Internal Use Rights seat subscriptions on the Microsoft Online

Services portal should be extended/curtailed to end on 31stMay 2014. This will be done automatically by the

system.

subscription goes into grace period and you are on the Microsoft Online Services platform for Microsoft

Dynamics Online; i.e. you log into your Dynamics CRM account using an e-mail with the format of

[email protected] email subject line should be: Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online IUR

Subscription Renewal. The following information must be provided in the request e-mail:

Contact First Name and Last Name

Partner company name

MPN ID

Current subscription end date

Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online subscription URL

Dynamics CRM Online account domain name and organisation name

Important Notice- Partners on the Commerce Transaction platform must not enable their new benefits on

thePartner Digital Download portal until they have transitioned to the Microsoft Online Services portal.

Enabling your new Internal Use Rights benefits before your platform transition is complete will result in two

separate Dynamics CRM Online accounts. Microsoft does not provide tools to support data migration

between Dynamics CRM accounts. To help identify which platform you are on, Commerce TransactionPlatform users will log in to their CRM account using an e-mail that follows this format [email protected]

Please ensure that you have a transition plan in place to enable your new benefits onPartner Digital Download

portal in May 2014 to maintain Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online account service continuity. Partners should

evaluate their partner membership status and competency attainments per location, country and worldwide.

Depending on MPN competency attainments across locations some partners may receive greater license grants

under the new internal use rights program; i.e. more than one qualifying location that meets the requirements to

receive.

You must have enabled your Dynamics CRM Online Internal Use Rights benefits on thePartner Digital

Download portal by the end of June 2014 as access to your Dynamics CRM Online IUR accounts will only beavailable to account administrators from the1st July 2014.

Program TransitionsAll current 100 and 250 seat Dynamics CRM Online IUR subscriptions will end 31stMay 2014. You will need to enable

your new Dynamics CRM Online IUR benefits through thePartner Digital Download site.We recommend enabling

your new benefits at the end of May 2014. Your new Dynamics CRM IUR benefits must be enabled before 30 thJune

2014 at the latest to ensure ongoing user access to your Dynamics CRM Online account.

We recommend using theOnline Services Internal Use Rights Transition Guideto help you. This is a scenario-based

guide with step-by-step instructions to ensure that the transition of your organisations current cloud services

benefits (includes Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online) granted through Cloud Essentials and Cloud Accelerate to the

Microsoft Action Pack subscription (MAPS) or competency benefits is successful.

Important Notice

Before enabling your new benefits please check the following:

Verify that you are on the Microsoft Services Online Platform for Dynamics CRM Online. If you are, your account

login will match this format [email protected]

If you are still on the Microsoft Commerce Transaction Platform for Dynamics CRM Online (you will log into your

account with a user name that follows this format - [email protected]), please do not sign upfor the new

If you are using Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 on-premises IUR product licenses, and need to purchase

more than the standard IUR benefit entitlement permitted by your MPN program, there are two options:

Take advantage of the discounted license offer ($45 Professional license) available for Microsoft

Dynamics CRM Online. Microsofts strategy is to lead with Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online in

response to customer demand trends. We therefore want to encourage our strategic partners

that enjoy the IUR MPN benefit today to start using Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online internally.

Purchase additional Microsoft Dynamics CRM on premises CALs through the appropriate channel

(e.g. Volume Licensing). Partners will retain their Microsoft Dynamics CRM server licenses for IUR

Issue Resolution:

Action Pack subscribers who have CSA but who have not met the sales criteria should contact theRSC

directly. The RSC will manage the manual provisioning of the Microsoft Dynamics CRM IUR tokens that

qualifying partners are entitled to.

Transitioning paid for non-production Microsoft Dynamics CRM Instances to the

free Microsoft Dynamics CRM IUR non-production entitlement

My organisation has paid for existing non-production Microsoft Dynamics CRM

instances and we now qualify for free Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online non-

production instances. How can I transfer my paid non-production instances to my

IUR benefit instance subscriptions?

The simplest way to answer this is using an example:

A partner has 2 Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online non-production instances that they pay a

subscription for. The partner then qualifies for two free Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online non-

production instances as they are a Silver CRM Competency partner.

The partner will now have a total of 4 non-production instances. If they want both existing

instances to be those covered by the free IUR grant then they can voluntarily give up the two new

non-production instances and keep using their existing non-production instances. Their Microsoft

Dynamics CRM IUR non-production instance subscription will cover their two existing non-

production instances. As long as the partner has a non-production subscription the system does

not mind which two instances are kept.

Partners should call theRSC and ask for the instances they do not wish to use to be deleted. This

usually involves them renaming unwanted instances to indicate to support which instances they

want deleted.

Partners will then need to call the Microsoft Billing Support team and cancel their existing paid for

non-production instances.

Non-Production Instance Availability at Partner Digital Download Go-Live

I am a Microsoft Dynamics CRM Gold/Silver competency partner and I have not

been able to obtain non-production instances through the partner digital

download site. Who should I contact?

Non-production instances for qualifying Microsoft Dynamics CRM IUR Partners (Microsoft Dynamics CRM

Silver and Gold Competency partners only) will not be available at the partner digital distribution launch.

How are Microsoft Dynamics CRM IUR licenses managed between Microsoft

Dynamics CRM Online and Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013?

This is managed on a trust basis at the moment. Partners are entitled to use their Microsoft Dynamics

CRM IUR entitlement on an either or basis. For example, a partner who has a Microsoft Dynamics CRM

IUR entitlement of 60 licenses or seats could choose to have 30 Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online seatsand 30 Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 CALs. Thepartner digital download site will give a partner their full

entitlement for both products, e.g. a MPN competency partner could receive 60 Microsoft Dynamics CRM

Online seats and 60 CRM 2013 CALs. Microsoft entrusts partners to abide by the MPN Internal Use Rights

program terms and only use a maximum of 60 Microsoft Dynamics CRM IUR seats/licenses across both

products.Partners will be non-compliant with the program use terms if selected for a compliance audit.

Adding Additional Licenses Purchased Through an Enterprise Agreement

Can I purchase additional Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online seats through my

organisations Enterprise Agreement and add these subscriptions to our MicrosoftDynamics CRM Online IUR account?

Yes, if your Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online internal use rights account is on the Microsoft Online

Services Portal. Please refer tothis sectionto determine what platform your CRM Online account is hosted

on. The Microsoft Online Services Portal supports mixed Microsoft Enterprise Agreement and internal use

rights subscriptions. The seats will be managed using two different pools so you can assign users as

appropriate. Please note that $45 Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online Professional seats cannot be

purchased through the Enterprise Agreement. This offer can only be provided by Microsoft Operations

and you should use theonline request formto make the request.

Seats purchased through an Enterprise Agreement are non-refundable.
