    Inception

The aim of the project was tounderstand and execute practical skillsin electronics technology and to

introduce innovation to the productthat we were designing. Deriving ourthought process from simple radio

experiments, we decided to take achallenge ourselves with the workingof a MP3 player

    Objective

We aimed to create a player withfluidity of interface and a robustdesign. We decided to combine science

with the real world market to have aproject that was not just onedimensional but had a market value

and could be used in everyday life

    Variables

A robust project had to be one whichwould work in all environmentalconditions and situations without

breaking down or implying a lack ofattention to detail

Repeated usage of controls to ensure

that they continued to function welland the wires did not loosen.

    Programming

An additional component of theproject, apart from the circuitry, was todesign and load the program into the

    microprocessor.

We developed skills into computerlanguages of Java and C. Using the

software Arduino, we worked towardsa fluid interface without facingproblems of harming the components

    and perfectly synchronize all the

    Problems

We had to overcome a wide range ofproblems to complete the project suchas:

Prevent a high current through thecomponents and ensure adequateresistance in the circuit at all times

Ensure the circuit was complete andcorrectly wired using a CRO beforeloading the program.

    Results

A survey was conducted betweendifferent areas of society to find outthe response to our project. We wanted

to test its durability and control andreleased it into our community. Weconducted our survey for a week to

identify any possibilities forimprovement. We will now show youthe various responses that wecompiled.

    Further goals

We believe that projects are nevercomplete they are only due. Evenafter this exhibition we aim to work to

improve our project by making itsmaller and more user friendly.
