Act 2 Countess Rosina’s Dressing Chamber

INTERMISSION (15 minutes)

Act 3 Count Almaviva’s Office

Act 4 The Garden

The action takes place on the day of Figaro’s and Susanna’s wedding. They are servants in the service of Count Almaviva and Countess Rosina. In the first play, The Barber of Seville, Figaro helped the Count woo and release Rosina from her guardian, Doctor Bartolo. For this, the Count rewarded the barber by making him his personal valet. As the opera opens, we see Figaro and Susanna preparing for their coming nuptials.
