Pete Brewton, a veteran investigative reporter and journalism faculty adviser to The Daily Toreador, will lead students through the labyrinth and mystery of journalism and politics as seen through the eyes of Hollywood. The class will watch six classic movies that show journalists at work in the realm of politics. Class discussions will center on how Hollywood views the practice of journalism viz-a-viz the politics of the day, and how this intricate interplay of different interests has evolved.
