First poster(Il lustrat ion)

I do love to use Illustrator to draw some stuff, I was always old movie posters. so I would like to try this style. Which contain simple but heavy details.

I t ried have done some tracing work, but I found out it is not enough detail, and feel light for a movie poster,

Therefore, I stopped the process, even I spent pretty much time, I decided to choose a little bit different style. which is less detail on shading.

I have done the tracing. after some brainstorming, I decided to use it for title of poster. However, I feel it too complicated even I will have more work, so I decide it to use it for bookmark.

This is the final illustrat ion work based on my first design. As it is too complicated, I have deleted some non important part.

This is the book mark I have made. It is also changed a lot as the main poster’s design is also changed.

As I have planned, when it is used, can see only part of girl and “Alone”, however when it is not used, the sentence will be completed.

About second poster, I started it

from the class. The example is given

in the class and I t ried to make it

simple and clean like it .

why I used plant?

The plant is one of most symbolic thing of this movie. It is one of most unrelated thing that killer Leon always take care. However, it also shows the other part of Leon, not as a killer. Furthermore, it also has memory of Leon’s past.

However, it was not working successfully, t ried so many t ime, but it was not good and too simple. It could not processed more than the sketch. So I have deleted all, and tried to use different style but still in typography base.

These two are the result of my work. As I suddenly changed the style the day before submission, it still has some parts need to be fixed.

This is final part of bookmark. I used two other main thing of Leon. Gun and glasses. For bookmark, glasses would be nice thing to put in.
