Isn’t that the question on everyone’s mind these days?

Sarah Wilson’s book ‘I Quit Sugar’ has sold in the squillions and I suspect people all over are trying to remove sugar from their diets.

And I bet they’re finding it hard.

Sarah says she initially quit sugar to help herself treat an autoimmune disorder and to feel better.

And it worked for her.

Sarah really quit sugar.

Sarah cut out all processed foods and most fruits and anything that has sugar in it.

And she lost lots of weight and she feels much better.

We all know there is sugar in processed foods.

There is sugar in junk food. There is sugar in fruits and some veggies, alcohol and so many other foods.

The list is really long.

Well, I don’t know.

Should we reduce sugar?

- absolutely.

Should we quit sugar?

But to remove it completely? And in the hope of losing weight?

Unfortunately, it doesn’t work for all.

on sweet treats,

on junk food,

and even on processed foods.

We should cut down on juices,

So yes, you can lose weight if you cut out all sugar.

The problem is most of us can’t stick to this type of restrictive diet. And when dieters fall off any

restrictive diet, they usually fall into the biggest vat of carbs they can.

Chocolate, cakes, sweets, whatever is at close reach.

And over the years they slowly but surely gain more and more weight.

... it goes on and on until the dieter feels guilty and awful and swears they will go on the strictest diet around to lose the regained weight (again).

And again. And again.

And as with any binge ...

The studies show that dieters will regain their lost weight within two to five years after losing it all.

A diet that you can sustain for life. Include treats so you don’t feel deprived and fall into a binge.

What’s that word?

Yep - Moderation

Moderation?

This ‘no sugar’ diet is another that we think will be relegated to the...

... file in time. Work out what it is that works for you (get help if you need it) and do it yourself.

... ‘look at the

crazy things

we did to

lose weight’ ...
