Spring 2012 brings a refreshing new season of exciting trends and colours. The fusion of sports and fashion is stronger than ever. This season invites us into a world of fashion inspired by romance and history, in the form of vintage styles and a naturally fresh but weathered look with antique gold trimmings.

This season is dominated by higher waists and short jackets, which can be seen in our Somerset and Dakota jackets, together with the latest oversized graphics and branding trend. Our Dakota jacket gives you a taste of this season’s denim jacket look with denim seams, pocket detailing and vintage gold trimmings.

A Stable vest and Hampton breeches is the perfect look for a rider, reflecting the cargo and canvas trend. Leather and suede are major trends this season too, making the Ashley vest the ideal riding vest. Trendy feminine designs, such as the print on the Beverley tee, are also very popular. A selection of our jackets are lined with stripe prints, which are also a strong theme this season.

The run up to the summer Olympics in UK will bring with it a multicultural trend of styles from around the world.

Colour trend

We have chosen to base our season’s colour palette on the latest trend of desert sands, beiges and blues, set off against vibrant spicy crimson tones from the Far East, harmonizing beautifully with cool whites.

PhotograPhiC journey

As a backdrop for the season, our photo shoots this spring and summer have taken us to new settings and introduced us to new acquaintances. We began our journey in the south, at Bäckaskog Castle in Skåne in southern Sweden to be more precise. While here, we sometimes felt as if we were on the other side of the Atlantic, in the shade of the lofty trees in the beautiful castle grounds. Our next stop was closer to home for us when we visited Tjolöholm Castle, which is located on the shore of the Kattegat on the west coast of Sweden, which is also the home of Mountain Horse. Our youngest models and cute little ponies had a great time that day. And our final destination this season took us as far south as you can get in Sweden, when the Iacobaéus family welcomed us into their private castle, Marsvinsholm. Beautiful Marsvinsholm Castle, set in the rolling Skåne countryside, was the perfect end to this year’s photographic journey.

We would like to say a very special thank you to the Iacobaéus family and the other locations who have so generously accommodated us. And of course not forgetting a big thank you to all of the horse owners who have travelled, sometimes long distances, with their incredible horses to our photo shoot locations. The horses really were at their very best.

Ffunction Meets elegance

We have invested all our knowledge and experience in the

SCS3 LITE® system, without compromising on technol-

ogy. The result is that we have created the most elegant

and, at the same time, functional riding boots available.

The easy way to tell GRIP® from LITE® is to look at the

sole thickness and pattern. LITE® has a thinner sole,

with more grooves. You will still have good grip in the

stirrup, but it’s not as pronounced as with GRIP®. The

thinner soles make this riding footwear ideal for people

who prefer a neater, more elegant fit.

suPreme high rider

quiCk release stirruP

2005 saw the launch of SCS3 with the GRIP® sole

and, since then, many riders have discovered the

significant advantages of this system. The unique

shock-absorbing elements in the sole and heel

help ensure fabulous comfort and reduced strain on

the feet, knees and back. The patented configura-

tion of the outer sole, together with the stirrup

tread, provides the best possible grip and prevents

the foot from sliding forward and through the iron.

Four grooves give the rider the option of switching

foot position and there are different treads for jump-

ing or dressage. If you end up in trouble and fall off,

the sole comes free of the tread because the foot is

not ‘locked’ in any way.
