About GreenLight Solutions

GreenLight Solutions is a student sustainability consulting organization with two primary purposes:

1. To educate organizations about sustainability practices by designing and promoting customized solutions in order to create a more sustainable world.

2. A means for students at Arizona State University to expand and utilize their academic learning about sustainability and apply it to solve real-world problems for organizations.

Our student members understand the application of the science of sustainability from a trans disciplinary approach. We are able to address a broad spectrum of local and global challenges, including complex economic, social, and environmental issues. Our expertise includes, but is not limited to: strategic sustainability planning, energy, materials, design, and technology; water quality issues and scarcity; international development; ecosystem services; social and urban dynamics; food and food systems; and policy-making and governance.

Our goal is to bring specialized knowledge into private and public organizations and to collaborate in ways that transcend traditional dynamics. Our desire to create a better world has driven us to acquire the knowledge that gives us the capacity to design solutions that redefine successful organizations.

GreenLight Solutions sprouted from students of the ASU School of Sustainability (SOS), and is advised by sustainability experts from the Global

Institute of Sustainability (GIOS). In addition, we maintain a close working relationship with the Walton Sustainability Solutions Initiatives at ASU.

Extent of Work Possible by GreenLight Solutions

GreenLight Solutions is dedicated to producing the highest quality work possible, but situations may arise in which an unfavorable outcome is encountered. GreenLight Solutions is only responsible for ensuring the quality of our consulting services and assumes no liability for any outcomes that may result from them. In addition, the implementation of the designed solution is entirely the responsibility of the client. However, GreenLight Solutions will gladly help clients find the right people for the job.

Develop a team of about 5 student members to work on evaluating, strategizing, and implanting agreed upon projects. GreenLight Solution’s students will be able to provide typically 5 hours per week each, for approximately 8 weeks per project.  The number of students, hours per week, and length of each project will depend upon your goals as the client and the academic constraints of our student consultants. Engagements will typically be structured around ASU semester timelines, but may be extended into breaks or across semesters only if absolutely needed.
