This apprenticeship deals with the repair and maintenance of all types of vehicles, from mopeds to lorries. There are more than 32 million vehicles on the UK’s roads, which mean we need plenty of motor vehicle technicians to keep them roadworthy. This apprenticeship gears your staff to develop and retain high quality skills for your business, in this growing industry.

Level 2: Light vehicle service technician, heavy vehicle service technician and auto electrical technician.
Level 3: Light vehicle diagnostic technician and auto electrical diagnostic technician.
As an apprentice, one could work for a dealership and focus on a particular manufacturer, or work for an independent garage.
At level 3, the learner will also develop an understanding of the principles, construction and operation and testing methods of common mechanical and electrical and electronic systems and components. It also covers the procedures involved in the removal and replacement of system components and the evaluation of their performance.
If you complete a Level 2 Apprenticeship, you may be able to progress onto Level 3.
