Motivation is defines as:
“ The process that initiates, guides and maintains goal-oriented behaviour.”
What is motivation?
Can be motivated if: As a manager, you
yourself are motivated.
You hire motivated professionals and it is easier than motivating professionals.
See which one of them is making a good score.
White collars/professionals
Give rewards to the best one(s)
An example: If a construction project is
completed due date or before with less cost of money, you can split the profit with them
Profit can be in form of: Distributing the remaining
budget Giving them rest for
remaining days of project
The contingent workers can be permanent if:
1.They are not given the tasks which others won’t like to do.
2.They are treated equally like other permanent workers
3. We guide and make them a part of effective functioning of organisation.

4.Take a leaf from their experiences which they learnt in the previous organizations . So, do listen to them when they give a suggestion.
Diversified workers can be motivated :
1.By uniting them among themselves.
2.If their companions are getting more appreciation. Consequently, others will try to excel.
3.If they are treated equally without the discrimination of caste, religion etc.
“Remember equality should be the most important strategy in motivating diversified workers.”
Diversified workers
Low skilled can do better if:
1.They remain within skilled ones and learn from them.
2.They are expected to perform well.
3.There is coach for success
They are demotivated if neglected continuosly.
Low skilled workers
Highly repititive task performers can be motivated if:
1.Tend them to perform other varieties of tasks.
2.Rise the salary and give them bonus if they initiate doing different assignments well.
3.Implementation of variety of jobs.
Highly continual task performers
The organisation can perform well if each individual possesses a strong sense of self motivation. In the organisation, adequate needs of everyone should be fulfilled. If organisation yearns for achievement of goal, then everyone will realize his/her importance in this regard. Then the organisation will leave no stone unturned to be at par with other ones rather to be an example for other ones.
