The Mother's Day is celebrated in some countries like the United States, Chile, Germany, Venezuela, Ecuador, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Italy and Japan, every second Sunday in May, and is a festival that seeks to honor the mothers of the world.

The history of this festival dates back to ancient Greece, where they surrendered honors Rea, the mother of Poseidon, Hades and Zeus gods. On the other hand catholics transformed these celebrations to honor the Virgin Mary, the mother of Jesus (December 8).

Later, in the United States, President Woodrow Wilson declared in 1914, the Mother's Day as the second Sunday in May in the United States. That was gestated the International Day of the mother after finding was echoed in other countries that adopted it to be the celebration known today.
