Curriculum Planning Day

Monday 20th November is a pupil-free day to

allow for whole-school planning for 2018.

2017 Prep Enrolments

We are currently taking enrolments for Prep for 2018. Please if you have not already enrolled your

child, send in the enrolment forms or call into the school for an enrolment pack. This helps with our

classroom planning for 2018

Families are most welcome to call at the school any #me for a tour .

VCE EXAMS

A reminder that VCE Exams commence from 1st November and finish on 17th November in the BER.

We ask that everyone is mindful of keeping noise to a minimum in that area when exams are being held especially before and after school. An exam time-table is included in this newsletter.

Also we ask that if parents require messages to be passed to their child dur-ing this exam period having the message to the general office by lunch time would be more helpful as the office staff will have to locate each individual child in the school as NO announcements will be made over the PA system. Thank you for your assistance with these matters. Good luck to everyone.

It’s been a very successful holiday break for some of our

students. Congratula#on on all of your achievements

Nathan Jones

Year 7-12 Sports Coordinator

[email protected]

The year has started enthusiastically with some new attendee’s, we currently have 9 students in total which includes 5 boys and 4 girls.

Work has already started on the new planter boxes / seating at the front of the undercover ar-ea.

More projects are on the agenda with continuing work at the rec reserve.

It is a good mix this year with the older students re-entering the program being encouraged to help nurture the new students.

Lachie Reichman has settled into the HOL coordinator role giving new insights and expertise from his building experience.

The end of term excursion took us to Warrnambool starting out at the Warrnambool College Hands on Learning program with a special interest in their Aquaponics system. From there we spent an arduous 2 hours keeping the students entertained at Silverton Park Indoor Go karts.

The High light of the day was visiting Warrnambool food share where the students learnt about this vital service to the community.

NIGHTNIGHTNIGHTNIGHT

On Tuesday, 19th September, twenty-four music students put on a

wonderful concert for friends and family in the BER. As with last year,

most of the students were on piano but there were a few on drums,

guitar, violin and flute.

These students were: Oliver Stephens, Cameron Goddard, Alice Hin-

kley, Hannah Leske, Ben Parker-Wood, Spencer Sagnol, Grace Ste-

phens, Rylee Barnard, Holly Lynzaat, Molly Goddard, Sam Hall, Rose

Hayden, Ellyse Parker-Wood, Scarlett Sagnol, Liily Schuuring, Da-

mien Goddard, Holly Hetherington, Jack Horan, Amelia Horan, Thom-

as Hetherington, Matilda Hetherington, Willow Collins, Lizzy Kelly and

Asha Kelly.

All the students performed well despite a few nerves. It was fantastic

to see such a range of students, from Prep to Year 12, beginners to

those who have been playing for many years. It was Lizzy’s final

concert after eleven years of learning, with an impressive rendition of

the theme from “Pirates of the Caribbean”, and Asha’s final perfor-

mance as well, which was a fantastic version of the theme from

“Westworld”.

Thank you to all the students who performed on that night; it’s not

easy getting up and playing music by yourself in front of others.

Thank you also to Lizzy, Asha and Ali, who helped me set up for the

evening, and to all those who packed up afterwards. And thank you to

the school, who allows me to teach here two days a week and hold

my concert here every year.
