News from Glenreagh Public School Zoomobile - Last Friday Rod Sheel from Taronga Park

Zoo visited our school with the Zoomobile and some

special Australian animals. The children were thrilled to

be able to learn more about these animals and for the

opportunity to view the animals close up. Geoff

McQueen from Cascade Environmental Education Centre

also came along and enlightened the children about the

insect life that they share this world with. The children

enjoyed a short time in the gardens collecting insects

and bugs before they examined their specimens under a

    microscope.

  • Great Aussie Bush Camp Excursion

On Monday, 26th of May, 5/6 W went on an excursion to the

Great Aussie Bush Camp with other schools from the Orara Valley.

This was a great opportunity for students to experience a huge range

of on-site activities designed to be challenging, yet fun and include

the traditional favourites such the dual flying foxes which traverse the on-site

lake, canoeing, the giant swing and interaction with

the other schools. A big thank you to Mr Buckley who

gave up his time to accompany 5/6W.

    Guess Who???

Isn’t it a bit hard to tell if they love it or not!!!
