• Hold the catheter betweenthe second finger and thumb,holding the flash chamberwith the forefinger and withthe second finger holding thehub. Aim directly at the vein

• Hold the cannula at an angleof approximately 30° andpierce the skin – bloodentering the flash chamberwill confirm vein entry

• Carefully advance the unit toensure that the cannula tiphas entered the vein

• Slide the cannula into thevein until desired length hasbeen inserted

• Advance the hub with thesecond finger

• Remove the introducerneedle and connect thecannula to a giving set or T connector
