Hey, AIESEC Dnipro! My name is Irina Prokofieva, I'm MC VP Finance&Legality 2011-2013 of AIESEC in Ukraine.

This year I'm happy to be Coach of Local Committee Dnipropetrovsk, which makes me really happy and proud. Why? Firstly, I'm originally from Pavlograd, Dnipropetrovsk region, so that's why Dnipro used to be my second home city in my childhood. Secondly, I already have 1 MC term in my AIESEC-experience and I saw all the changes that have been taking place with this LC during 1,5 years, I am a victim of coming of a new blood and new Executive Board. And thirdly, I know a great history of LC Dnipro as in 2008 LC Dnipropetrovs'k got Excellence Award on National level and was Top 10 LCs in Central and Eastern Europe.

Today I can see a huge passion of current LCP Sveta and her beautiful Executive Board. They are starting a new page of LC history which I'm sure will be even more hilarious than it used to.

I'm pleased to be a Coach of this LC and to have opportunity to visit it a few times during the year.

Wish my dear Dnipro huge amount of energy, belief in your Power and Striving for Excellence as one of AIESEC Values.

Be brave and crazy enough to succeed!

Warmly yours, Irina Prokofieva

From the

President Vision. Plans and Goals

In life it is always difficult to make a choice, completely disable all conscience, all feelings and make the final decision. The choice was made one year and a half ago, it was when organization appeared in my life. After 2 months in LC I became the Vice President of incoming international internships, achieved 400% growth in direction which helped to return the status of Local Committee. But it was not enough neither for me nor for organization.

That is why a term 2012-2013 for me started at the position of the President of Local Committee.

Page 5: Monthly Newsletter_August 2012

Heavy, but it was a productive first month of our work, because as it turned it is not easy to rebuild everything again, to open new directions and find the ways how to recreate the old important ones. We should keep afloat and grow at the same time. But I am sure that nothing happens by accident, rise and falls, failures have their positive references in the future. Above all, we must believe and follow our vision and strategy of each day, and then we can achieve all goals and results.

What is our vision for the term 2012-2013? LC Dnipropetrovs’k as one united entity is a sustainable platform for achieving quality results and actions.

Our main Focus. Thinking and analyzing a lot what will be our focus for the term we have decided to concentrate on OG GCDP direction. Also it is the country focus too so we expect high quality performance in this direction and support from the National level.

About goals for each direction you will have a chance to know from the vice-presidents or coordinators in further articles.

For the last I want to add: "I'm going slow, but I will never go back." (A. Lincoln). It is the perfect quote to describe what we have now in LC and where we are.

Just keep doing and time will show up for what it’s worth!

From the OG GCDP&GIP

Coordinator

I will be short and strict. Just for you to know that OGX is the main priority for the term 2012-2013 not only in Dnipropetrovs'k, but also in all over Ukraine. That’s pretty cool! We have some new abbreviations in OGX direction (for those who do not know): GCDP – Global Community Development Program or how we call it in Russian– Международная программа обмена (social internships) and GIP – Global Internship Program –Международная программа профес-сиональных стажировок.

This year we will have 6 OGX projects, 2 of which are GIP and their realization will be in spring 2013.

Our main GCDP project has new name – “Enjoy the World”. During the year we plan to realize 38 GCDP and 10 GIP. We already realized 5 GCDP and 2 GIP EPs.

So, now we have the project that is called Power of Three, it is a synergy project, because 3 directions take part in it: OGX, Com, TM. First realizations we will see this autumn.

474 days passed since AIESEC has opened it's doors to me. During this year and a half many things happened, but many still have to happen.

Because of this I accepted a challenge

and became a Vice-president of talent management and projects and my second year in AIESEC has started.

Plans for future I want everybody to know and

understand what AIESEC in Dnipro is going to do, what does expects it in term 12-13 and finally what it will become.

So, my year plans and predictions: PM We are going to realize 16 projects. Here is the map of it:

PM

Page 8: Monthly Newsletter_August 2012

We are going to provide 121 TMP and 28 TLP experiences. From my side, I'm going to improve quality of AIESEC programs and renew education in LC. At the end I want to add "Winning isn't everything, but wanting to win is.“ Vince Lombardi

FROM IC GIP

It is the first time in our LC IC GIP ( CICX) became the separate direction. For me it was a great surprise, not only because this direction was not present in LC before, but also about that fact is Incoming exchanges was something distant for me. Time had passed and I am get used. 1 GIP TN in my term is already realized, 2 GIPs are raised and I am expect for more till the end of Q3.

As for the plans for the term I plan to realize 8 GIP TNs. I am excited about future realizations, even if they will be less than planned for the year. It is enough of making numbers, it is time for quality!

The bitterness of poor quality remains long after low pricing is forgotten.

Yours IC GIP CRD, Larisa Nerush

From IC GCDP

Since I joined AIESEC in Autumn 2011 I felt in love with this direction! I could not even dream that it could be mine. And now it is!

After the planning was finished I was scared about how we will realize 39 GCDP TNs in the term? But after 10 realizations in one month there is no doubt that we will succeed!

As it was mentioned before I plan to realize 4 projects ( 2 local and 2 National). Finally we have created the clear JD and project’s flow about English Teaching in secondary schools. The name of this project is “English for Children” and it’s realization is from September 25th! Can’t wait to match all inerns.

Now we continue to realize “Summer Camp” and I already miss my interns… I am deeply fell in love with my job!

I hope to please you soon with new implementations in IC GCDP! We will rock!

From EPs.

Summer

Realization

I would like to start with a short introduction about myself. My name is Hunkar, from LC Eskisehir, Turkey. I am 20 years old a student, who is studying at Anadolu University, department of Industrial Engineering. I am not an AISECER, but somehow I have been in AIESEC, for about 3 months. So my AIESEC story has begun with LC Dnipropetrovs`k, UKRAINE.

First of all, I was looking for some internships and somehow we met with Svitlana Udovenko. "She said me; Hey, We are looking for someone who can teach Turkish." and I said; "Turkish? It is my native language, why not. So I passed two interviews with AIESEC and the company and was successfully matched. I still couldn’t believe that I am in Dnipro about 4 weeks! Amazing!

Also, I have been teaching Turkish for 4 weeks. At the beginning, It was really hard. But I got used my job quickly because of Larisa ( the main manager of the company). Thankfully, She has helped me about being a teacher. I have different level students in Turkish, some of them are not able to speaking Turkish, or English, Also I am not able to speak Russian, so sometimes we have to use body language for communication, but it is really great, even sometimes funny. So, now I am really glad about my job. Hopefully, my manager glad too, about me. I am trying to do my best.

Starting from this

month we will post

one story from our

EPs about their

internship in our

Local Committee.

In this article you

will get to know

about GIP intern

Hunkar Arda.

Let’s check how’s

going the first

professional

realization in the

term!

I remember my first days in Dnipro as good one, because of care from Sveta and Larisa’s mom. Now I probably know how is it to live with a President . After introduction meeting I got to know “How to survive in Ukarine”. Thanks to Sveta and Aleksandra about that, really useful.

I’ve met here a lot of nice guys who helped me with adaptation, host and other things as well. I want to pass a lot of thanks to Larisa, Pasha, Valentine, of course Elizaveta, she is doing great things for interns. Maybe I forgot someone, sorry for that, but be sure that I am appreciate everyone who is up to me. As far as I understand, LC Dnipro is in a kind of reorganization, so everybody trying to do best thing for community. But you should or moreover, you have to thank to AEISEC friends. Maybe they are not in the organization officially, but they deserve the biggest thanks. To be honest, If they had not been, you can be sure, I would not have written these things. I wanted to write their names but unfortunately, I can not finish it by typing. In conclusion, I have had great times in Dnepropetrovsk, at that month. Even sometimes, I could not find time for getting bored. I have loved Ukraine and Ukrainian people...

Sincerely yours, Hunkar Arda

Also we would really appreciate your help with delivering sessions about soft skills. Even if you don’t have time for sessions, it is doesn’t matter. Just come. We want to see you there!
