July Crime Report 2020

CompStat: Part 1 Crimes

Aggravated Assaults (14): Six incidents were domestic related. Closures: 7 arrests, 2 prosecution refused, 2 inactive and 3 remain active.

Rape (6) : Five of the six incidents have suspects identified. Closures: 4 active investigations & 2 cases are at the Prosecutor’s Office for review.

Arson (1): Firework set off in a garbage can, no suspects. Inactive case.

Auto Burglary (15): One adult arrest, closing out one incident. Closures: 1 arrest, 7 inactive cases and 8 active cases.

Burglary - Non Residential (2): No suspect have been identified, both cases inactive.

Burglary - Residential (5): No similar trends, all incidents seem to be unrelated. Closures: 1 juvenile arrest, 2 active cases and 2 inactive cases.

Theft (46): 15 of the 46 incidents were shoplifting related. The remaining were thefts from buildings open to the general public or where the suspects had legal access to. Case Dispositions: 11 closed by arrest/citation, 23 active, 1 victim refusal, 2 closed and 9 inactive.

Vehicle Theft (3): All three incidents have suspects identified, the incidents are all unrelated. Closures: 2 arrests & 1 active at the Prosecutor’s Office.
