Inter-house competitions provide

abundant opportunities to the students for

large participations in the areas of their

potentials in the field of Song, Fine Art,

Dance, Yoga Quiz, Rhyme, Storytelling,

Debate and exploring them to a new

height with healthy competitive spirit in

mind.

Like all years School conducted the ‘Talent

Search - 2018’ from 3rd – 12th July 2018 and

witnessed as many as 2000 participants of

K-10 in all levels of competitions. The

winners will be awarded on the

Independence Day Celebration.

Government of Odisha to explore the hidden potentials of

the students was organized by Municipality, Bargarh at Biju

Pattnaik Town Hall and Anand Mandap on 24th July 2018.

out with flyng colour bagging 1st Positions in the Junior and

Senior Levels and made their ways to the Final round of

Governor’s Trophy at Bhubaneswar.

Kargil Vijay Divas – “A

salute to our brave heart

soldiers”…

Commemorating the victory of Indian Army in

the war against Pakistan in 1999. School observed

19th Kargil Vijay Divas in the Morning Assembly on

26th July. Candles were lit up to pay homage to

every valiant soldier-The Kargil martyrs to every

valiant soldier who fought for the Motherland till

their last breath. On the pride full day students

and teachers recaptured the supreme sacrifices

and exemplary courage made by the Indian

soldiers during the Operation Vijay in 1999.

Van Mahotsav

School observed Van Mahotsav Week from 1st - 7th

July, 2018 to create awareness among people

about the importance of trees in human life.

Students expressed their great concerns about the

depletion of forest and hazards to witness in the

days to come through their thoughts, topics and art

work with their involvement and participation in

large scale.

World Population Day

School celebrated World Population Day

on 11th July, 2018 to seek attention on the

urgency and importance of population

issues at the global level including the

importance of reproductive health.

Observing the theme of the year ‘Family

Planning is a Human Right’ initiation was

aimed at vast scale to combat the issue of

growing population. Students had various

activities to create awareness about the

growing menace of population growth.

Rathayatra and Bahudayatra

@ Vikash

Celebration of Rathyatra and Bahuda Yatra like

all other years, the chariot festival of the deities

Lord Jagannath, Lord Bhalabhadra and

Subhadra was celebrated on Vikash Campus.

The Chariot of the deities was taken in a

procession with students and teachers. Prior to

the morning assembly, worship of the deities was

performed.

Annual Academic Inspection-2018

A panel of Vikash Academicians led by Sri

and the team comprising Smt. Vijayalakshmi

Mrs. Rashmi Rekha Pradhan , TGT and Mrs.

Binodini Dash,TGT of VRS, Khandagiri, BBSR

paid a two days’ visit to our School on 17th &

18th July, 2018. During their visit they had

personal interactions with the teachers and

students and had a wide range of academic

discussions including use of methodologies,

classroom management etc. . Addressing a

congregation of students, Mr. Dash and the

Team hailed the students discipline along with

classroom ambience and urged them for its

continual in their lives so as to make them a

perfect human being in all aspects. The team

felt rejoiced to be a part of such a big

ambience, appreciated most the teaching

learning process and the methodology

adopted by teachers and desired to visit the

institution in the days to come.

Workshop on Basic Counselling Skills

It’s a wonderful initiation by Sh. D. Murli Krishna Hon’ble Chairman Vikash Group, to

empower our Teachers and Hostel Caregivers and to help them to be more

effective in understanding youth psyche and hence guide youth better with more

comprehensive approach to all adolescent issues, from aggression to addiction. For

such capacity building Endeavour a Ten Days Basic Counseling Skills Training for 31

participants of the whole Vikash Group has been designed in association with

UMMEED Counseling & Consulting Services, Kolkata. The first phase of the training

was conducted on 7th & 8th July, at Vikash Bhubneshwar, for all along with the 15

participants from Vikash Bargarh.

Career Counseling Session for Std-XI Science

A career counseling session was organised for the students of Std-XI Science on 25

July 2018 in which revered Chairman of the institution Sj.D.Murali Krishna enlightened

the session with his motivating words to encourage the students to be focused for

career.

A career counseling session for Std-XII Science

students was organised on 9 July 2018 in which

Revered Sj. D. Murali Krishna, Chairman, Vikash

group and Revered Director Dr.S.N.Panda

made the students know the new concepts of

entrance examinations in IIT-JEE and NEET from

this session with approach of preparation a

students should have to get a good result.

Career Counseling Session for

Std-XII Science

Creative & Innovative Ambience

in Classrooms and CorridorsAs a part of Teaching Learning Process focus

was made on ambience to decorate the

classes and design the boards which reflected

the creative arts and innovative ideas of the

teachers for involving students and exploring

their minds for a better understanding of the

lesson.

Freshers’ Welcome Ceremony for

Class -XI CommerceC-Galaxy the department of Commerce organised A

felicitation cum Freshers’ welcome ceremony on 20th July

2018. New Class XI Commerce students were welcome

and introduced with the system of Vikash Residential

School, to make them comfortable. In the same

programme the achievers of commerce Olympiad 2018

were felicitated Medals, certificates and cash award. The

programme was addressed by Hon’ble Sj. D Nageshawar

Rao, Director Administration and Dr. S N Panda, Director.
