The Island of Montebego lies exactly 46 miles off the coast of Miami. A territor

y of Cuba, it is fairly secluded and not much is known about it. In fact, visitors to this diamond of the Caribbean have to pay a fee to the Cuban Government and we all know they are a friendly bunch.There are a total of 8 villas on the 2400 square foot island. All eight face the

Gulf, presenting marvelous views on all sides. With only 8 groups allowed on atime, lets just say the drama coming off of Montebego is very in demand. And since, most visitors are the high and rich of the world; you can bet tabloids are paying high sums for a view into this secret, discreet world.Our story begins with the arrival of the new groups. Two jets zoomed through the

sky as a third landed.Welcome to Montebego, Seor Ferreira, and do you have any bags?Elisabeth heard the concierge tell her husband as she walked down the stairs oftheir jet.My assistant will bring them down. This is my wife, Elisabeth. Mi Amor, this is the concierge.Seor Jimenez, Welcome to our marvelous island. Please if you have any questions or

simply dont have something you desire, feel free to contact me.Jimenez was a stocky Cuban male, with a very apparent receding hair line. She saw a gold wedding band on his finger and with the gold paint faintly peeling offa little, she could tell he has had a very successful marriage.Your villa is 2244b, just a little off the nearest road. It has a spectacular view of the Horizon, as you have requested. I expect everything to be as you have asked, Seor Ferreira.Thank you, Alin responded as he led Elisabeth to the car.Again, we are glad to have you here on Montebego.

________________________________________________ As Jimenez has said, the villa was not that far from the port. Alin lead Elisabeth inside and his smile told Elisabeth that the villa was defiantly worth what they had paid. And his smile was correct. The villa was in short words-perfection. It was two stories with the master bedroom on the first floor. A huge window took up the entire west wall of the living room, giving a beautiful view of the early sunset. The kitchen had two ornate French doors which gave way to a patio and private Jacuzzi. Alins and Elisabeths assistants told the bellboys where to put

the suitcases as Alin helped Elisabeth sit down on a chair. With the doctor saying that she needed to relax, Alin told his wife that she was to not pick up calls for anybody while they were on Montebego.I dont care if A.P. is going into bankruptcy, your life and the life of our childis more important than your work, he had said on the plane ride.

There she sat, studying the various details of the room, like how there were 4 plants in the whole room-Two mini-palm trees on either side of the large window, a beautiful red orchid onthe table and a fichus in one of the corners.The sofas were a nice enough crme color and the TV was a rather lavish flat-screen (one of Alins requests, she was sure.)After about 10 minutes though, the door bell rang. Before she could even process

a thought, Orlando came from upstairs and answered it.Ooohhhhmmmmyyyyygggoooodddd, she heard Orlando yell from the foyer.Then came three or four voices she couldnt remember.Where is she, said one of them.In the living room, she cant really move. The warden gave her orders.Orlando closed the door and the voices came closer. When Elisabeth turned her head, she nearly fainted.Adriane-Lola-Rebecca-Lily- what are you guys doing here? she asked them.Elisabeth stood up on her feet and hugged her friends.

How have you been? Lola asked her sitting next to her.Good, really busy with work.Aleks is not driving you crazy is he? Lily asked her.No, no- we just had this huge client that drove us both insane.At that time, Alin came in the room and greeted the women.I trust you have been keeping guard on Elisabeth, Alin, Lola warned him.Yeah, remember what we said at your wedding.Rebecca crossed her legs as she faced him.I have been. Ever since i found out she was pregnant, i made sure she does not go

over her limits-no matter how much she fights with me.Hay-The doctor said it was okay for me to dance, just no lifts and no over-doingit.But i do not get it-why does she have to be careful if she is only 2 months pregnant?Before either of them could answer, the doorbell rang. Alin stood to answer it and from the foyer, Elisabeth could see her husbands expression.Ive come to see Elisabeth, said a startling voice.Lola stared at Elisabeth then at Orlando, who was at the doorway. Elisabeth walked over to Alin, who appeared to have been frozen. The odd thing was his eyes bared a very angry and disgusted look on. When she turned to corner, she saw why.Jaycen, Wha- what are you doing here?Jaycen Lorentz, wealthy billionaire and notorious bad-boy, was standing on their

front step.I heard you were going to be here and since Aleks is in Moscow, i came just in case you wanted to work.She will not be working while she is on Montebego, Alin said sharply.I said just in case. Anyway i have rented the villa on Galliano, just to let youknow Just in case you wanted to know.Thank you, but as Alin said, I will not be working while on vacation.Jaycen glanced at her with those mischievous eyes of his but then let it go.Well, i shall leave you to your evening. Good night.Elisabeth nodded and closed the door. Alin just stood there.Alin, are you alright?Did you know he was coming?No, I didnt. And i am sure Aleks didnt either, he would have said something beforei left.Alin flashed a look of uncertainly then walked to the staircase.I wouldnt be so sure of that.What is that suppose to mean? she asked, following him.Oh, come off it, Elisabeth. You dont think i dont know about the things Aleks saysabout me-how you could do better, that all i ever do is mooch off your paycheck?

He walked up to the loft and served himself a bit of rum.I have never heard Aleks say that. Whoever told you was lyi-I HEARD IT WITH MY OWN EARS! At the party last month. When you went to the bathroom, i went to go look for you and i heard him tell Jaycen and Gerald.Elisabeth didnt look at him or said anything.I have no control over what Aleks says. And i am not going to defend him either.I know that i do that a lot.By now, Alin was in an armchair, staring at the moon.Im going to go lay down. I suddenly dont feel good.Do you want me to get your medication? he asked her.No, no dont worry, Ill ask Orlando.With that Elisabeth walked down the stairs and motioned her friends to come into

the master bedroom. Orlando was quick to come in with a glass of water.Is Alin alright? Adriane asked her.To be honest, i dont know. For some months now, he has been like that, Ever sincewe got back from Brazil.Orlando handed Elisabeth her medicine and a glass of water.Im going to change. I am really tired.She walked over to the changing wall but still talked to the girls.

So how have you guys been?Okay, did you hear that Rebeccas engaged? Lola said briskly.Elisabeth came out in a white nightgown and smiled in Rebeccas direction.I know, Celeste told me. Alejandro proposed already-About time.Its not like we have been going out for years.But you have, Lily said.Sneers pursued throughout the room.We better get that baby to bed. Orlando, why not get us a few snacks and i will pop a movie in. We can make it a girls night, Lola Proposed.And it was so. They all got into their pajamas and settled in Elisabeths room.

After getting a cup of water, she turned off the light and was headed back into the room when a knock on the door sounded.Jaycen, she said, seeing him stand before the door, what are you doing here? Its solate.Can we talk? There is something you must know.She glanced back at her husband and closed the door behind her. She pointed to the seat and sat down as he paced.The main reason why i am here is to keep an eye on you.Why?Aleks doesnt trust Alin.But thats crazy. Alin and I have been married for 2 years and its been great. PlusAleks is my most trusted friend; he is more than my boss-he is the person I trust the most with my life. Dont you think he wouldve told me if he suspected Alin of

something?Aleks did not explain his reasons For my coming here. But i couldnt Exactly refuse

because I suspect Alin too.Of What? Unless you give me a valid reason, I cannot give you and Aleks any support.Elisabeth wanted to be angry with them but deep down she was touched Aleks cared

so much. Her hands went to her stomach as he continued.I accepted Aleks offer to come here because i knew both you and Alin on a personal level then he did. He knew that as well and trusted me to do the job.Elisabeth was so focused on her thoughts she did not notice Jaycen kneel besideher. She only realized it when his hand sheered across her cheek. Her eyes meet

I am still married to Alin. He is the father of my child. While i am deeply grateful for both yours and Aleks actions, i cannot leave Alin. I know he hasnt been husband of the year, but my love for him and his love for me will get us through this. Our child will be born in a few months and i want him to have a wonderful childhood with both his mother and father, she said, looking away from him.Jaycen stood up and faced her.He does not deserve a woman like you.That may be so but he is the only man who has ever fought for me with both body and soul, and that is more than enough for me.He took a step closer to her then gave her a sweet peck on her cheek.I will always be around.I have no doubt of that, Jaycen, she said, standing up.Good night, Elisabeth.Good night Mr. Lorentz.Jaycen disappeared into the night as Elisabeth went back into the villa. Gazingat the clock she saw it to be 3 A.M. about 9 in the morning in Moscow. Grabbing her cell phone, she pressed 3 and put the phone to her ear.Hello?Aleks, its Elisabeth, I have a question about something.

Sure.Why did you send Jaycen Lorentz to keep an eye on me in Montebego?I never said anything like that. I actually fired Lorentz.Fired, why?I found him trying to hack into your private files and designs. My assistant also

told me that Jaycen was the one who ransacked your apartment. Would you like meto have him removed from the island?

No-no, its okay. Dont bother, ill be alright. Bye.Elisabeth hung up the phone and placed it back on the charger. She then walked over to her husband and laid down next to him, smiling when he draped an arm over

Jaycen could fully see her broad smile from the binoculars he had in his hand. He masterfully rented the villa because he knew it had a perfect view of Elisabeths living room.One day, you will be mine. You and your child will be mine to hold; even if I have to kill Ferreira myself, he said, taking a sip from his cup.
