As the genre of our title sequence is

horror/thriller, we’d like to give the

audience an immediate sense of the

genre. This effect is taken from the

title sequence of Saw and it implies

that characters in the film may be

tortured in this way and the word

twisted suggests the images in the

film could be unusual and graphic.

For our idea, we have vampire

characters as the villains therefore

at the beginning we will have

production company’s logo; and

this could be presented with fangs

coming out at the edges and biting

the title of the production company

logo.

This is another idea from the title sequence of Scream

where it presents the production teams names in normal font with a background of blood and then the name fades into blood which could represent death of the character.

This is taken from the TV series of Marchlands; this title sequence begins

with a girl running through

the forest. At the beginning of our title sequence a female character will be running through the woods. This idea has been used in numerous of thriller/horror

films, which is why we are

considering it.

Final Destination has a unique

idea of showing tragic deaths at

the beginning for each character and each death is

smartly linked together. Later on

in the film the audience realise

that the deaths from the title

sequence are presented in the

film. We want to use this idea to whet

the audience’s appetite. As it’s

such a smart idea it can be

difficult to do, so we could

interpret some effects in this

sequence to make it just as

good.
