Accolades and Achievements:
Congratulations to our Concert & Symphonic Bands! As you know, our school participates in the
Instrumental Music Program. Each year, the program sponsors a festival in the spring to showcase all of their
band students in a concert for families and friends. In addition, each band’s performance is adjudicated according
to ten different musical criteria by judges who are experts in the field of music education. This year, our Concert
Band has been awarded an ‘Excellent’ rating and our Symphonic Band earned a ‘Superior’ rating.
Congratulations to our band director, Mr. Wes Osment, and to all of our talented band students! Once again,
Slade students “Rise Above!”
