    BACK-GROUND AND HISTORY IN DEVELOPMENT

    In the middle of searching new niche market to take advantage of our technology covering low-alloy material

    equipment, we found out good outlook on weld overlaid Cr-Mo and Cr-Mo-V hydrotreaters, hydrodesulferization

    reactors and other similar material petroleum refining equipment.

    Hantech has developed for the design and fabrication using technologies and skills from several sources.1) Hantech has received design technology and fabrication know-how from Optimum Engineering Solutions(Openso)

    in USA, which is licensed by Nooter Corporation.

    2) Hantech has employed a welding specialist who has retired from Babcock-Hitachi in Japan.

    This person works with Hantech continuously to develop welding for Cr-Mo welding.

    3) Hantech uses the technology of Kobe Steel for overlay welding inside reactor by ESW(Electrical Slag Welding)

    4) Hantech would like to supply mid-size range of weight and thickness by 250mm thickness and 3500mm

    diameter below the heaviest and thickest reactors to be supplied by JSW or Kobe

    5) Hantech collaborates to purchase available forged shell with local supplier - Tae Woong Co., Ltd.

    The ingots come to forging supplier from Posco Specialist Steel Company.

    We have been developing welding technology by narrow gap Sub-merged Arc Welding and it is scheduled todeliver our shop around the beginning of March, 2008 for new welding machine by narrow gap Gas Tungsten

     Arc Welding.

    We sincerely hope this would be helpful to understand back-ground and history for heavy wall reactor.

    INTRODUCTION

    FORHEAVY WALL REACTOR (MONO - BLOCK TYPE)

    Forged shell of mono - block type is used for weld overlaid Cr-Mo and Cr-Mo-V hydrotreaters,

    hydrodesulferization reactors, and other similar material petroleum refining equipment.

    Normally reactor is operating over pressure by 200 kg/㎠ and temperature by 450℃ and inside

    of reactor to be overlaid by 347 S.S or 308L S.S to prevent corrosion and penetration of hydrogen

    into base metal.

    Forged shell has been supplied from forged maker by business collaboration and Hantech is in the

    process of fabrication with developing technology of fabrication and welding.
