4) Congratulations to both the choir and the band for receiving a Division I rating at Large Group
contest Friday night. Please join us at our concert Tuesday the 7th at 7:00 to the hear the music we performed and
a few extra selections. 5) The Carlisle Girls Track and Field team came out victorious in a tight team battle for the 3rd straight year
over ADM to retain their title as conference champions. After winning the first conference title in school history
two years ago, the Wildcats are now back-to-back-to-back RRC champions.

7) Thank you to Fellowship Christian Athletes who hosted another pancake breakfast on Friday, May 3rd. It was
delicious and much appreciated. 8) Student Council election process for the 2019-2020 School year has begun. See Ms. Hillebrand in room 84 for
applications for officer or class representative. Applications are due by Monday, May 6. Elections for officers is
Wednesday, May 8. 9) There will be an Art Fundraiser at Stadium View on Wednesday, May 8. Please see below for more details.

11) Reminder- Each year students are required to complete tasks related to career and college planning to

13) Any current 9th-11th graders interested in the healthcare field, check out this great summer opportunity at
Drake University July 25-27th! BullD.O.G.S. in Healthcare introduces students to careers in the health professions
by educating them about opportunities in health sciences and exploring different pathways using hands-on lab
experiences and more. For more information about the program goals, activities and requirements, visit the College
of Pharmacy and Health Sciences website.
14) Attention students who are interested in being lifeguards at the Carlisle Aquatic Center: The YMCA will be
offering lifeguard certification classes starting in February-June. Spots fill up fast after spring break so don’t delay.

pm), June 10-July 1 (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays from 7-10 am). New session: July 15 – July 30 (Monday –

Learn how to effectively prevent and respond to water emergencies. Our courses are designed to arm you with the
skills and knowledge to prepare you for a variety of scenarios in and around the water. You will learn how to quickly
respond to emergencies both in the water and on land. You will also be trained on drowning and injury prevention, so
you can better help those in need. Lifeguard certification classes require and online course to be completed prior to the

Already certified? Lifeguard certifications are valid for 2 years. To maintain your certification you must take a
