AIR MAILS. + .A.ooeleration of England-South Africa and England-India-Malaya Air Mail Services.­

Commencing with the service leaving London on Wednesday, 11th April, the England-South Africa air mail service will be accelerated by one day; the mails will be due to reach Alexandria and Cairo on Friday, Khartoum on Saturday, Nairobi on Monday, Mombasa and Dar-es-Salaam on Tuesday, Broken Hill and Salisbury on Wednesday, Bulawayo and Johannesburg on Thursday, and Kimberley and Capetown on Friday, 9 days after despatch from London. In the reverse direction the mails will leave Capetown on Tuesdays and will be due to reach London on Thursdays, the first arrival under the new conditions being on Thursday the 19th April. ·

The England-India-Malaya air mail service will also b$l accelerated; the mails leaving London on Saturday, 14th April, and subsequent Saturdays will be due to reach Alexandria and Cairo on Monday, Gaza and Baghdad on Tuesday, Basra on Wednesday, Karachi on Thursday, Calcutt a and Bombay on Friday, Madras and Rangoon on Saturday, and Bangkok and Singapore on Sunday, 8 days after despatch from London. The return service wiTl leave Singapore on Sunday and, as from the 23rd of Apr il, will be d ue to reach London on Monday.

The public are reminded t hat correspondence fo r India intended for transmission by air beyond Karachi should be prepaid a t the r at e of 8d. for the first t oz. and 7d. for each additional t oz. (post-cards, 4d.) and superscribed "By air in India ".

The Homeward Africa Air Mails have been delayed en route and are expected to arrive in London t o-day. The Air Mails left Capetown on the 28th March and Nairobi on the 31st March.

England-South Africa and England-India Air Parcel Servioes.-As from to-morrow the latest times of posting Air p a rcels at the G.P.O., King Edward St reet, E.C.l, for despatch by the England-South Africa and England-India Air Mail services will be 9.0 p.m. on Tuesdays and 9.0 p.m. on Fridays respectively.

Air Mail service from Germany to South America.-A fortnightly service is now available for correspondence posted in this Country at the same charges as those for the existing air service, viz:-

Correspondence intended for conveyance by the German service should bear, in addition to the blue air mail label, the inscription "By German Air Mail". The fligMs will ea.ve Germany on alternate Saturdays commencing on Saturday, the 14th of April, and the latest time of posting in the air mail box at the G.P.O., King Edward Street, E.C.l, will be 5.0 a.m. on Friday, the 13th of April, and at the same time on alternate Fridays for each successive fortnightly :flight.

*The normal late fee posting facilities from 12 noon to 12.30 p.m. will be suspended up to and including 21st April.

Mails for Norway (West) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays will, in consequence of earlier sailings from Newcastle to Bergen, be despatched earlier from the 10th to the 28th April inclusive, and on the 2nd May. During that period the latest times of posting for Norway (West) at the G.P .O., King Edward Street, E.C.1, will be 8.30 a.m. for letters, and 7.30 a.m. far printed papers, etc. At the London District Head Offices the times will be 5.30 a.m. and. 12 midnight (previous day) respectively.

The normal service will operate on the 1st May, and will be regularly resumed on the 5th May next when the usual times of posting will again be in operation, viz., 11.30 a .m. at the G.P.O., King Edward Street, E.C.1, for letters and 9.30 a.m. for printed papers. '
