VOLUNTEERS NEEDED –GARDENERS!

Parishioners - please consider joining our Garden ministry. We are in need of persons to help tend to our blooms and bushes, and also some brawn

for cutting and clipping. If you have expertise, we need your help. If you do not, we will help train you. Materials and equipment will be supplied.

We hope to make teams of 2 or 3 people rotating through the

summer. And garden buddies are friends forever.

If you wish to help out, please contact Leah Gayle at 403-554-

1801.

GARDEN FLOWERS AND ANTS

Although we all love the look of fresh flowers in

the church, it's very important not to be bringing in Mother Nature's little friends. If you can't be

certain that flowers are ant-free, may we suggest putting them in the Grotto of Mary, just outside the Chapel so they can be enjoyed in a natural

setting. And please, if you are bringing flowers to the church, could you also take care of them and remove them when they are finished. Although we

do our best to care for Funeral flowers, we would appreciate your help. Thank you! The Environment Group

this:

• Mail your gift to the parish (cheques or post-dated cheque)

a. Request a form at the parish office

b. Go on line http://holyspiritcalgary.com and select “Support the Parish” to download the form. Please return your signed form in a sealed envelope –

Attn: Office Staff – put it in the collection basket during mass, drop off at the Parish office, or via regular

LAST BULLETIN BEFORE SUMMER 2018

Together In Action (TIA) is the

annual fundraising campaign of the Calgary Diocese. All parishes work together to raise two million dollars. Thanks to your generosity so far this year we have raised $35,399 dollars, which is 55% of our parish goal of $64,385.

By sharing together as Catholic brothers and sisters, we can support important diocesan ministries such as seminarian education and make a difference in the lives of our vulnerable neighbours. Further information is available through our website and the Diocesan website.

Pope Francis in his visit to Rio in 2013,

stated…”let us always remember this: only when we are able to share do we become truly rich; everything that is shared is multiplied.”

Please help support TIA by making your cheque payable to Holy Spirit Parish (ear-marked TIA) or

using the envelopes marked TIA in the pews and at the Welcome Desk, or donate through our website. All identified donations are tax deductible.

Let’s continue to work together to raise the remaining $32,204.

Thank you for your generous support.
