150% Rule for Financial Aid

The College guidelines for the implementation of the Federal Financial Aid 150% Rule are as follows:• The 150% Rule-Federal Financial Aid can be used to cover the

cost of education up to 150% of the credits required for completion of an AA or AS degree , some College Credit Certificate or Vocational Certificate.

For Example -if you are enrolled in an AA degree that has a 60 credit requirement for completion,• Financial Aid will cover a maximum of 90 credits. All transfer

credits posted on the M-DCC Degree Audit along with credits earned at M-DCC

• (excluding item two above) are included in the 150% calculation.
