All operations affect whole object Selection operations: group select, box select Edit operations: move, rotate, acale, shear, ... Skinning (skeletons, rigging) Grouping and parenting for creating hierarchies Duplication, copying Tracking, path animations

All operations affect the mesh: vertices, edges, faces (polygons)
Selection operations: vertex select, edge select, face select
Vertex grouping Vertex weight painting Various primitives supported
