BIBFRAME’s ability to accommodate serials is still unresolved...


HOWEVER, many experts on serials cataloging are experimenting with Linked Data and figuring out how to serials should be modelled and encoded in BIBFRAME.

2. Led by Tina Shrader (NLM) and Xiaoli Li (UC Davis)

3. Informal, open group. Anyone can join.

4. Met bi-weekly, transitioning to monthly meetings

5. Compared PRESS-OO, BIBFRAME 1.0 and Bibframe Lite

6. Transforms example sets of records into Linked Data, analyses results

7. Provides feedback on vocabulary and transformation rules

1. Start a local study group a la UCLA 1. Experiment with LC’s BIBFRAME Editor and transformation tool. Play with Scribe.

2. Create a local interest group that supports experimentation connected to your library’s goals and priorities

3. Create, join, or communicate with a learning group with people from other institutions
