My ideasHIP hop artist are always wearing hats,

sunglasses, chains rings, watches ,earrings etc.

These items normally represent where they are from like a base ball hat

Chains rings watches normally represent the money. These can be to do with name. Or can just be symbolic to show wealth

At times they will be wearing something very or an expensive brand

As we can see on this cover of vibe 5ocent hat has hat that represent where he is from it has the initials ‘NY’ which stands for New York. May hip hop artist wear hats so I made sure that my model was wearing hat. As they are significant amongst hip hop artist.

Chains are seen as a sign of wealth as they implement power. They can represent how far the artist has come due to the amount. The chains itself can relate to the artist. Also expensive watches are shown. Young jeezy is wearing chains hat earrings and a watch which is the normal stereotype of an hip hop artist which I may use also. He has a microphone which is something I was considering.

Also majority of hip hop artist are black. Which means I must make sure my model is black to reflect real hip hop magazines. Looking at front covers I must make sure that my images are good and focus well. A lot of magazines use close shots or medium shots. Full body isn’t used as much. Although this can link to the artist. 50 cent is the most noteworthy artist therefore him being the closes out of his group. He is clearly the most important.

A cover like this may appeal to homoerotic audiences and women. This also something that many photographer use. This is done so the magazine front cover (main image) can appeal to a wider range of audiences

ConclusionOverall I have seen that main image is very

important as it has to standout. The main image can vary as it maybe something directed to the artist themselves. Hat are common between hip hop artist. Hats can represent an artist background e.g 50cent NY hat shows he is from New York. Chains watches etc. Can be a symbol of power or just to show wealth. I have will try to use these thing with my model. I will use a stereotypical look alike hip hop person to represent my magazine front cover.
