Introduction

Thank you for downloading our planning template for mobile optimisation.

You should note…

Mobile brings in millions and millions of potential new customers who you may have

never been able to reach before. Developing economies are being driven by mobile,

with many people previously unable to access the internet, being able to

communicate with anyone around the world through their handsets.

With this, however, comes the major difficulty that the technological differences

between handsets can mean that some users may not see what others can. So,

when optimizing your business and marketing campaigns for mobile, knowledge of

the market you are entering is key!

Basic Pointers

Each of our articles in this planner cover all of these pointers.

Consider the Customer

Before optimising everything you do for mobile, consider whether your

customers use mobile and what they use it for. Do they use smartphones? Do

they live somewhere with poor mobile internet connectivity?

Mobile is Personal Remember that this isn’t a big billboard that they can ignore, and it isn’t a page in a magazine that they can skip, mobile is personal. Don’

Think Simple One of the main differences between mobile and desktop is that mobile is quicker. Users can access their handsets in seconds, however, they also don’t want to be spending a long time doing things on mobile, so simple, easy and quick are key.

Just Because it’s Possible, Doesn’t Mean You Should Do It Many, many new technologies for mobile marketing come into the world each yeah, some useful, others not. Just because something is flashy, it doesn’t mean it will help you or your customers.
