★ Students can download a free QR code reader from their Appstore or Android Market, and then scan the QR code to access the link.
★ These are great for engaging students and increasing interest in an activity; take them further by developing stations for a class activity.

★ Quick Response (or QR) code - a two-dimensional or 2D bar code that can be scanned with the camera of a smart phone or other mobile device, along with a QR code reader, for easy access to information (*links, text, audio, images)
★ Can store up to 7,089 numerical characters or 4,296 alphanumeric characters, compared to a standard UPC barcode, which uses only 12 numeric digits
