Mobile devices and Smartphones are a staple means of communication for many. It’s a perfect way to connect with one another when not face to face. And this, as a result, makes everyone glued to these devices for various reasons, like sharing pictures, updating status, chatting, browsing various sites for information on the go, etc.

Mobile devices are a great channel for reaching out to consumers. Social media, online and mobile shopping, and promotions are few technology trends that are having immense impact on retailer’s businesses and how they relate to their customers.

Retailer’s revenue hiked up to 113% due to smart phones in 2013, and tablet revenue grew over 86% during the same period. This has made connecting to the customers more accessible than ever, most of them are glued to their phone 24/7. About, 62% of the population own a smartphone and huge percentage of those are in the age bracket of 18-29 years. This proves, there is no better way for businesses to be heard.

Mobiles have a tremendous impact on small businesses, as even a small mobile presence levels the playing field. Ultimately mobile enables a business to enhance and shape the customers, or employee, depending on the goal of the business and implementation.
