The Mo Lao area - Located in Hanoi city

    Latitude: 200 984260N

    Longitude:1050

    784864E

A lot of richer and VIP live here so it is

very important to improve the signalquality in this area. The building growthis very fast around here that should becovered.

    - Case 1: poor signal strength from serving cells, poor signal quality also, some cells

overlap.- Recommendation: Need to bring new repeater in this area for improving coverage

    - Generally, with the present outdoor coverage MS can make a call, but in the nearfeature that should be poor when buildings raising should close the signal.- With the indoor plot, there must be out of coverage when MS go inside apartment.- Recommendation: Need to bring some repeater in this area for keep the call indoor

    - In some areas, the signal of serving cell is not good, quality not too good due tointerference, C/I .There have some cell overshooting.

    - Need to make strengthen signal of serving cell and reduce quality by install one newrepeater here

    However, when come the indoor

    coverage, the signal strength is

very poor. Call should be droppedor bad quality. It becomes much

worse in case of data service!

Indoor RSCP interpolated by offsetting the outdoor RSCP by ~ -18dB

    (accounting for building penetration loss)

    Very weak indoor signal

    strength area. Almost noservice provision

Unstable indoor most ofarea, data service is limited.

Assume permanent population is 15,000, there were 70% mobile telephonesubscriber, 30% for VMS customer. Assume that traffic per subscriber is 0.012Erl and each subscriber makes 1 call during the busy hour. Total Erlang =15,000* 70% * 30% * 0.012 = 37.8 Erl for each operator. Based on Gos=2% and

according to Erlang table which will request 48 TCH configuration for the BTS.

We divide the BTS into two sectors. And suppose each sector has 2 CCH andothers are all TCH .then the number of Carriers for the each operator isfollowing formula :

    F = ( T + H) / 8F is the number of Carriers, (Integer)T is all the TCH number = 48H is all the CCH for 2 sectors = 2 x 2 = 4

Then F = (48+4)/8 = 7, BTS carriers should be even number, So the BTSconfiguration 4/4 for VMS is fulfilled the capacity requirement.
