Welcome to MMI 2015!

Why do we exist?

We believe in the power of young people using their skills and passion to have a social impact

We inspire students to take action during their careers towards alleviating global poverty

We provide students with the tools and experiences to create social change.

We create social change via microfinance to improve students and society.

What is Microfinance?

The problem: The poor are too risky for banks, so it is hard to receive necessary training or equipment without going to loan sharks.

• Business owner still in poverty

• Requires future loans to keep working

• Profits go to the lender

What is Microfinance?

The solution: Give microfinance loans, focused on helping people to become self-sustainable and come out of poverty

• Business owner gains independence and dignity

• Community is more developed economically

• Money returned to MFI is re-invested in the poor
