MINECRAFT MEETS MINDSTORMS (LEGO ROBOTICS) A wonderful way to incorporate technology with science and engineering. Participants are challenged to design their own strategically programmed robot under the guidance of ICT trainer Lucinda Hill. This course develops creative and lateral thinking, programming and problem solving skills and so much more. The Minecraft afternoon session will be collaborative as groups apply 3D modelling skills. NEXT LEVEL MOVIE MAKING (Suitable for students 12 years and over) After rave reviews Jessica Addy returns to deliver an advanced filmmaking Masterclass designed for those with a developed knowledge. Students will create a 5 to 10 minute short film that explores ideas of importance in their lives. Topics covered will include communicating through film conventions and techniques supported by ICT, the creation of texts for particular audiences and collaboration with likeminded students. CRAZY ABOUT DANCE? (No previous dance experience necessary) Crazy Times, a collaboration between Sydney Dance Company and Co3 Australia provides this incredible opportunity for students to leap into a combination of contemporary dance, hip hop, pop n lock and break-dancing with professional dancers, Zoe Wozniak and Mitch Harvey. Students will collaborate to create and perform their own version of Crazy Times, build their own set and share creativity with new friends. MIX IT UP Choose one or any combination of these classes for up to four days. See timetable on following pages. MASTERCHEF WITH BRENDAN MURPHY – CHEF EXPLORER (Suitable for participants 10 years and above) Brendan, an international Chef for over 20 years and cookery teacher for the last 15 years has chosen to take his Masterclass participants to France, Spain and Asia as well as provide some delicious winter warmers. Brendan can’t wait to share his knowledge and worldly stories as he encourages students to create unique dishes and learn international techniques. Send your taste buds around the world! MASTERPIECES ART Visual artist, Leigh Claessen has been represented locally and internationally and her art workshops are highly regarded. Students are encouraged to extend their understanding of the visual elements using different mediums, materials and varying techniques. Step into the colour filled shoes of an artist for two, two day programmes. Day 1 and 2- Me, Myself and I or My Precious Pet - Canvas Painting Day 3 and 4 – Pattern extravaganza - Decorate a chalkboard pencil holder and Mask. SCIENCE SPECTACULAR After the success of our April Science Masterclass we are delighted to explore four new scientific wonders. The energy of heat and sound, the best of biology, explore the planets- it is rocket science. Finally we call all budding engineers to explore science in the world around them. The challenge, should it be accepted includes rafts, skyscrapers, catapult capers and whirly birds.

ME, MYSELF AND I or MY PRECIOUS PETBring along a clear self-portrait or pet photograph and spend two days bringing it to life on canvas.

AM Learn a plethora of painting techniques and experiment with mixed media on paper before selecting some favourites to incorporate in the final artwork.PM Build upon new found skills and begin an A3 first draft, working on composition, taking into consideration the foreground/background.Then take the exciting step to transfer this onto a canvas using coloured pencil.Finally enjoy painting the base coat of their canvas including background and foreground.

ME, MYSELF AND I or MY PRECIOUS PETAM Continue to paint adding various mixed media onto the canvas using photos and/or a mirror as a point of reference. Layering will add exciting dimension to the masterpiece.PM The final amazing stage includes the addition of further detail using collage and oil pastels and lastly black permanent markers will emphasise the finest detail as chosen by our Masterclass artists in residence!
