Please let us know of your presence or any prayer requests you have by filling out one of the cards in the pew rack and placing them in the offering plate. We hope that our church home becomes your church home and the spiritual place where you grow through the Word of God. Older children attending the church service are encouraged to borrow a Toddler Tote filled with activities as you enter the Sanctuary. Concerning the Sacrament of the Altar We believe that Jesus offers Himself to us in the Sacrament – His true body and blood, for the forgiveness of sins. We also share the scriptural concern for those who participate in the Lord’s supper that they recognize what they are receiving (1 Corinthians 11:27). Therefore, we ask that all who desire to receive the Lord’s Supper please carefully examine themselves using the communion information card found in the pew rack. Communion is celebrated on the 1 st and 3 rd Sundays at both services. For those who desire, we offer gluten-free wafers (please indicate your desire to the Pastor or Elder) and non-alcoholic wine (located in the inner circle of the individual cup tray). CONFESSIONC: Most merciful God, we confess that we are by nature sinful and unclean. We have sinned against you in thought,

word, and deed, by what we have done and by what we have left undone. We have not love You with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. We justly deserve Your present and eternal punishment. For the sake of Your Son, Jesus Christ, have mercy upon us. GENEROSITY TIP OF THE MONTH – JULYPractical suggestions to aid Disciples of Jesus in taking on the character of Jesus,

especially the character attribute of generosity.

Not all forms of generosity look alike. Generosity is practiced with our time, our patience, our kindness, and our goodness. In fact, thinking about Paul’s words in Galatians 5, talking about the Fruit of the Spirit, it would be easy to conclude that generosity is a fruit of the Fruit of the Spirit! Not all generosity is shown through the giving of money, but also through the sacrifices we make with our time, our gifts, our opportunities, and our actions. However, every form of generosity will inspire and serve to increase generosity in multiple ways, including being generous with our financial gifts. For example, instead of being protective of that place in line that comes open, you could offer it to the person who got there just a split second behind you. As you begin to make such sacrifices and put others first, it will be just a matter of time that you will do the same with parking places and lane changes and more. Soon your kindness and generosity will overflow into other relationships at work, at school, at home, and even at church. In fact, such generosity will become a part of your character, and will be seen in all aspects of a disciple’s life, including the treasures God has given you.

Tip of the Month: Me Second!

1. This month, look for opportunities to be second instead of first, allowing others to go ahead of you. Some examples include:

a. When you are going to the check out line at the store, don’t be afraid to let the person who gets there at the same time to go ahead of you, even if they have more groceries than you!

b. If someone else comes to the empty parking place when you do, let them park there, even if you have to walk further (think of the positives of the exercise you will get )!

c. Offer a hand to your neighbor who is struggling with a project at home, before you tend to your own project.d. Help a coworker with his work, instead of just focusing on your own.2. At the end of the month (or in a couple of months), take a moment to observe to what degree generosity in one area

impacted generosity in another.
