Bluetooth Module and Handset

5360 IP Phone with Bluetooth Module and Bluetooth Handset

With Mitel Bluetooth integration, desk-bound users can enjoy the mobility, hands-free operation and features provided by Bluetooth technology. The Mitel Bluetooth Handset fits into the handset cradle of the Mitel 5330, 5340, and 5360 IP Phones. When connected to the Mitel Bluetooth Module, it provides cord-free communication as far as 10 meters (30 feet) away.

The Bluetooth Module pairs a commercially available Bluetooth device with the abovementioned Mitel IP Phones. A separately purchasable device, the Bluetooth Module fits discretely into the existing compartment at the back of the Mitel IP Phone. It supports a Mitel Bluetooth Handset as well as a vast number of third-party Bluetooth handsets from numerous manufacturers.

Each Bluetooth Module provides the following features:

Characterized by voice quality, durability, and application and WLAN interoperability, Polycom SpectraLink 8400 Series Phones provide reliable enterprise-grade on-site voice mobility. Their Push-to-Talk feature enables rapid communication among groups. Their rugged design and industrial-grade over-molding maximizes the lifespan of the handset, even in industrial environments. A large display, simple user interface and four dedicated soft keys encourage user-friendliness and easy adoption. Advanced noise-suppression technology enables the phones to prevail in loud environments.

The SpectraLink 8450 Phone has an integrated barcode imager, which minimizes data input errors. Both SpectraLink 8400 Series phones also incorporate an enhanced standards-based applications interface.

Additionally, they support a broad range of Mitel call control features, wireless LANs, and infrastructures to deliver interoperability with a low total cost of ownership.

The Polycom 8440 and 8450 Wireless Telephones have been certified by Mitel at the Mitel-Approved Test (MAT) certification level as SIP extensions of the MCD and 5000 CP call control platforms. They are configured as a SIP phones and require a category “F” license per device. Their extensions can be configured in a user’s Mitel Dynamic Extension Express (DEE) routing to ring simultaneously with the user’s desk phone or any other desired end point.

Mitel IP Programmable Key Modules 12 and 48

The 12-Button and 48-Button Programmable Key Modules (PKMs) extend the capabilities of the Mitel 5324 IP Phone and 5224 IP Phone with additional LED indicators and 12, 48 or up to 96 additional buttons. The IP PKM Interface Module added to an IP phone allows the IP PKM 12 or 48 to be easily connected to the IP phone without an additional LAN port.

The additional personal keys can be programmed as feature keys, speed call keys, Direct Station Select (DSS) keys, or line appearance keys. Each has a line status indicator that works the same way as those on the associated telephone. They can be programmed easily through the telephone or by the system administrator.

The IP DECT stand is an IP DECT base station with SIP gateway functionality. It connects to the base of a Mitel 5312, 5320, 5324, 5340 or 5360 IP Phone, linking to the network through the phone’s PC port.

5310 IP Conference Unit

Mitel 5310 IP Conference Unit provides full-duplex (the ability for both parties to speak at once) advanced IP conferencing. This is accomplished through sophisticated acoustic beam-forming technology designed for meeting rooms up to 20 ft by 30 ft. The 5310 IP unit connects to the Mitel 5324, 5330, 5340 or 5360 IP Phones (sold separately), enabling the user to manage the conference through familiar telephony controls, and eliminating the need for an additional LAN port.
